Ford Blue Oval City is an electric vehicle and battery manufacturing campus located in West Tennessee. This $5.6 billion investment is home to the next-generation electric truck from Ford and will produce batteries for future Ford and Lincoln vehicles. The site spans six square miles and is among the largest auto manufacturing facilities in U.S. history. It encompasses vehicle assembly, battery production and a supplier park in a vertically integrated ecosystem.
ASC Equipment worked on 37 different MEP scopes with 28 contractors providing code and need based solutions. Simultaneously reducing labor and time required through material provided and deliverables.

What We Did

- 20,000 seismic braces designed in BIM w/ clash detection simultaneously
- Provided seismic bracing materials for each scope of work, packaged and delivered per area per building for ease of use with subcontractors
- Provided 20+ miles of duct bank anchors for the infrastructure
- Provided all ductwork Gripple cable hangers (drastically reducing labor and time) for ductwork on BOSK (up to 76” ductwork)
- Provided all design and anchorage for MEP equipment in Core and Shell scopes
- Provided pipe stress analysis and design for hot oil piping and steam
- Identified/designed/provided seismic “V” Loops for all building joints
- Designed and provided seismic rated roof curbs, fans and intake hoods
Engineering & BIM Modeling
Delivered pipe stress analysis and design for hot oil piping & steam. Provided all design and anchorage for MEP equipment in Core and Shell scopes. Collaborated with contractors to provide 20,000 seismic braces designed in BIM with clash detection.
Gripple Seismic Restraint & Industrial Hangers
Provided seismic bracing materials for each scope of work, all ductwork Gripple cable hangers for ductwork on BOSK, and 20+ miles of duct bank anchors.
Expansion Loops
Identified/designed/provided seismic “V” Loops for all building joints.
Seismic Rated Roof Curbs
Designed and provided seismic rated roof curbs for fans and intake hoods.
